From there it is 120 kilometers (40 km of asphalt and 80 km of dirt) along Provincial Route 40. Going by car is the ideal way to get to the Iberá Wetlands. Whether from Rosario, Córdoba, Buenos Aires or Mendoza, the car will allow you to go at your own pace and enjoy the entire journey.

  • At kilometer 436 in the jurisdiction of Marcos Juárez (Shell)
  • There is a YPF station at kilometer 665

Just 200 meters away is the Itá Stream Urban Reserve, an excellent place to enjoy nature in the heart of the city.

Costa Sur beach is at the southern entrance to the city. It is a proposal that combines sun, beach, water activities and the tranquility of being on the banks of the Paraná River. Currently, it is one of the most sought-after places in the city.

Both beaches have an excellent gastronomic offer to taste local flavors. A recommendation: choose dishes made with cassava.

Culture and history

Posadas is full of culture everywhere. In the Old Train Station, today a cultural center, there are usually artistic expressions and exhibits to enjoy with the family. Another site of interest is the Costanera Mural. This is one of the largest murals in the world that combines the history of the region and that brought together more than 50 artists from various Latin American countries.

The Cathedral, the Aníbal Cambas Regional Museum and the Andrés Guacurarí Historical Museum are other places you can visit to soak up the history of the region.

 Crossing to Encarnación

Paraguay is just a bridge away. Via the San Roque González de Santa Cruz International Bridge you quickly reach Encarnación, a city located on the other side of the Paraná. In this city there are many shops to shop, from appliances to clothing and everything you need.

Perhaps crossing by car is not the best option. It can take many hours due to customs procedures. To make your trip easier, you can book a tour or, directly, use the modern international train Posadas-Encarnación.

San Ignacio and the Guaraní Jesuit Ruins.

Along National Route 12, just one hour north of Posadas, is the town of San Ignacio, famous for housing the Jesuit Reductions of San Ignacio Miní, a World Heritage Site. From the time of the conquest until 1776, the year of the expulsion of the Jesuits, there was an evangelizing task towards the Guaraní in these lands that can be thoroughly seen by visiting the site.

If you are in a hurry, visiting only these ruins is a good option, but if you have time and peace of mind, San Ignacio has a lot to see.

Guaraní Jesuit Mission Our Lady of Santa Ana

An oasis of peace and history in the jungle. Smaller than those of San Ignacio, but no less impressive, the ruins of Santa Ana offer you a tour with fewer people and with history. The jungle completely took over this site, something that makes it unique.

Like many of the Jesuit buildings, you can see the remains of the central chapel, the plaza, the work places and the places where both the Jesuits and the indigenous people rested.

Open every day from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you go in the summer, avoid midday and afternoon hours, as the heat can be scorching.

To get there you have to go to the town of Santa Ana on National Route 12. Once you cross the bridge, turn right and follow a dirt road parallel to the road. Access is not clear, so it is often better to ask the locals.

The Jesuit Ruins of San Ignacio

perhaps the most famous in the world and the ones that everyone wants to visit. Its perfectly preserved buildings transform this place into something incredible to see. The plaza, the old church, the workplaces and the buildings that survived the passage of time are worth visiting.

At night, and with prior reservation, a beautiful light show is performed on the Jesuit buildings that traces the history of the region.

Open every day from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. In summer, try to go in the morning.

Teyú Cuaré Provincial Park and Horacio Quiroga’s house

It is strange that Teyú Cuaré Provincial Park is not visited by hundreds of people. But it is for the best, since the jungle is for you. Through self-guided trails of low difficulty you will travel through this portion of the Misiones jungle without any noise other than that of nature. Open every day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Very close to the Park is Horacio Quiroga’s house. It consists of two buildings, one made for a film and the other restored, where the famous Uruguayan writer lived. Before going, we recommend that you read some short stories to immerse yourself in the stories of the jungle that he knew how to write and the environment where he did it.

Salto Encantado Provincial Park in Aristóbulo del Valle

After traveling the impressive scenic route that connects Aristóbulo del Valle with National Route 12, Provincial Route 7, you will reach the Cuña Pirú Valley. Here, the Salto Encantado Provincial Park awaits you, a site with an impressive 64-meter-high waterfall. In addition, you can explore trails that go deep into the jungle, offering you a unique experience in the middle of nature.

If you are looking to sleep in direct contact with the environment, there are some jungle lodges nearby. These private reserves have trails and all the amenities so that you can enjoy the magic of the jungle. The sounds of nature during the day and, especially, at night, will surprise you.

El Soberbio

It is time to continue the trip to El Soberbio, the closest town to the impressive Moconá Falls. This city offers basic services, but it is not the ideal place to stay overnight.

The best thing is to get as close as possible to the Moconá Falls and stay in one of the many options you will find near Provincial Route 2. There are alternatives for all tastes, but we suggest you choose a place surrounded by jungle and with walking trails. In this way, the experience of living connected to nature will be much more authentic.

The Moconá Falls

The Moconá Falls are located within the Yabotí Biosphere Reserve. Its particular shape is due to the fact that it is a geological fault existing on the Uruguay River. This made the waterfalls longitudinal, something that is not seen in other parts of the world.

The trip already begins even before arriving. The road from El Soberbio to the Falls is an experience in itself. The views of the jungle and the Uruguay River accompany you during the journey with unforgettable postcards. A tip: drive slowly because you will encounter local fauna and the road becomes winding.

Once there, the adventure continues with the boat ride that takes you to the base of the falls. If you dare, the boat will get so close that you will get soaked by the waterfalls falling on you, an exciting experience (and refreshing if the temperatures are very high). This trip lasts about 45 minutes, so afterward you will be able to explore the trails of the reserve.

The tranquility of the place and the few people make it common to come across black howler monkeys and other species of the local fauna. It is a unique opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy an environment full of life.

 Tips for visiting the Moconá Falls

The peculiarity of the Moconá Falls is that if there is a significant increase in the river flow, the waterfalls disappear. This can happen if it rains a lot in the north, in Brazil. Therefore, we recommend that you enter the social networks of the Moconá Tourism Cooperative, who carry out the boat trips. A few days, or even a week before, you will be able to find out if the boats carry out the excursion.

 How to get to the Moconá Falls from Posadas

The best way to get to the Moconá Falls from Posadas is to take National Route 12, then Provincial Route 7 towards Aristóbulo del Valle. From there you have to go along National Route 14 to San Vicente and finally, take Provincial Route 13 to El Soberbio.

 Where is the Quebrada de Humahuaca and what is it?

In the northeast of Argentina, in the province of Jujuy, is the Quebrada de Humahuaca, an impressive valley that opens up as the Rio Grande de Jujuy runs. It is about 155 kilometers in which you will always be surrounded by the Andes mountains. The landscapes are arid, colorful and ascend until reaching the Puna, the famous plateau. In turn, there are many small valleys that connect to each other.

The color palettes of the ravine are unique in the world. Reddish, ochre, purple, green and many more tones can be seen in its hills and mountains.

These landscapes are marked by the passage of history. The native peoples, the Incas, the Spanish and then the fight in the wars for independence make these lands an ideal place to better understand the history of Argentina. For this reason, the Humahuaca Ravine is also a site of great cultural and historical value, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003.

Renting a car in Salta or Jujuy is the first step to thoroughly get to know these beautiful places that the north of the country has for you. You can fly to the airport in Salta or Jujuy and, from there, take the National Route 9 to Purmamarca, the ideal place to base yourself and explore the gorge.

From Salta to Purmamarca by car

From the city of Salta, getting to Purmamarca, the most picturesque town in the Humahuaca Gorge, is very simple. The fastest way is to take National Route 9, then National Route 34, pass through the city of San Salvador de Jujuy and, finally, begin to enter the gorge. These routes cover 188 km. Here you can find the suggested route.

If you like mountain roads, there is a very interesting alternative: the old National Route 9. To make this journey, you do not have to deviate from this route and continue straight ahead. It is shorter (157 km), but the road is winding and, at the same time, beautiful. Here you will find the route to take by car.

From Jujuy to Purmamarca by car

From the city of San Salvador de Jujuy to Purmamarca is only 65 km along National Route 9.

If you like greenery and a different landscape, we recommend that you stop for a few hours, or why not a few days, in the Yungas of Jujuy.

 Termas de Reyes and the Yungas of Jujuy

When we talk about Jujuy, the image of mountains covered by intense green vegetation rarely comes to mind. Just a few kilometers from the capital are the Termas de Reyes, a thermal complex with a hotel immersed in a spectacular landscape.

A little further on is the Potrero de Yala Provincial Park, a great destination to enjoy nature and bird watching.

Getting to both places is totally worth it. Provincial Route 4, the access road, is one of those routes that leaves you with your “mouth open.”

 

 What to visit in the Quebrada de Humahuaca

The classic tour includes all the must-see places in the Quebrada de Humahuaca. Some are more massive than others, such as the famous Cerro de los Siete Colores, or you can choose little secrets that are not yet so visited, such as the Quebrada de Las Señoritas in the town of Uquía.

Below, we tell you which are the best places that you cannot miss.

Purmamarca

Perhaps one of the most beautiful towns in the world? You will find out the answer when you decide to visit Purmamarca. Founded by the Spanish at the end of the 19th century, Purmamarca is one of the most beautiful towns in the world.

16th century, its dirt streets, adobe houses and its fair are a trip back in time, all framed by the beautiful Cerro de los Siete Colores. It is an excellent option if you want to stay a few days in a place that breathes tranquility.

The Los Colorados walk starts from the center of the town. It is a walk of only one hour and of very low difficulty. In addition, by hiring a qualified guide, you can walk along the paths of Viltipoco, a road that leads to a natural cave.

Of course, do not forget to visit the historic Santa Rosa de Lima Church, built in 1778, the town hall and the handicraft shops made by local producers.

 

Tilcara

Tilcara is a historic city in Argentina. Without a clear founding date, it is a place that combines culture, history and nature. It has a great gastronomic and hotel offer. It is another option for lodging and is usually cheaper than Purmamarca.

The Pucará de Tilcara is one of the must-see places in the city. It is an archaeological site ideal for learning about the pre-Hispanic history of the region. The best way to visit it is with guided tours. It is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., except Mondays, when it is closed.

Another recommended tour is to visit the Cueva del Wayra and the Garganta del Diablo waterfall. You can do it independently, although with a local guide the experience can be even better.

Tilcara is located 25 km north of Purmamarca on National Route 9.

Humahuaca and Hornocal

Humahuaca is the most important city in the ravine. Its commercial and economic life makes it different from Tilcara and Purmamarca, so if you prefer tranquility it is not the ideal city to stay. However, there are a large number of hotels and restaurants that can make your trip a little more economical.

From here, you can reach the impressive Serranía del Hornocal, located 27 km away on RP 73. It is best to visit the viewpoint in the afternoons to enjoy the colors that impact the mountain. Be careful: the road ascends to about 4,500 meters above sea level, so go slowly and do not rush.

In the city, you can visit the Monument to the Heroes of Independence, on the Santa Bárbara hill, in front of the main square and the Cabildo de Humahuaca. In addition, there are several museums that you can enter.

Humahuaca is located 45 km from Tilcara on National Route 9.

 Get to know the towns of Uquía and Maimará

There are some lesser-known towns in the Quebrada de Humahuaca that are ideal for a few hours.

Uquía, 58 km north of Purmamarca, is known for its streets and historic buildings. The most famous are the paintings of the arquebusier angels in the Church of San Francisco de Padua, dating back to the 17th century. A must-see is the trail to the Quebrada de las Señoritas. It is a low-difficulty hike to enjoy some very particular geological formations.

Just 20 km from Purmamarca, the town of Maimará is distinguished by its color palette on the hill known as the Painter’s Palette. Again, the hills display a variety of surprising tones. Getting there is very easy: with a 3-hour walk to a viewpoint.

In both towns there are simple and inexpensive accommodations, ideal if you are looking to reduce costs on your trip.

Iruya, a hidden town in Salta

It is curious, but a town in Salta appears on this route. This is because Iruya is located very close to the border with Jujuy, although it belongs to the neighboring province. Famous for its church, its architecture and for being nestled between the hills, the magic of the town can be appreciated from the viewpoint, where everything ends up being understood: the walls, the rivers and a small town in an unexpected place.

From Iruya, there are several treks to do, such as the one that leads to the town of San Isidro (8 km there and the same back). Another option is to take a medium-difficulty trail to the Cóndor viewpoint.

Spending a night in Iruya is worth it. Of course, the accommodations are simple, but very comfortable.

 How to get to Iruya from Humahuaca

The peculiarity of Iruya is that it can only be accessed from Humahuaca. Traveling 26 kilometers north of the city, you have to take Provincial Route 13 and continue along a dirt road. You have to go slowly, respecting the distances and enjoying the landscape.

Here is the map to get to Iruya. In total there are 80 km that take several hours. To be calm, it is best to stay overnight in the town and, the next day, return to Humahuaca.

 Ascend to the Puna and Las Salinas Grandes

A mirror in the middle of the Puna. A white, flat desert at 3,500 meters above sea level. The road that leads from Purmamarca to the Salinas Grandes is a scenic route, full of dazzling landscapes: the Cuesta de Lipán.

Once you reach the salt flats, you will descend and enjoy a place that seems like another planet. Inside the There are different circuits to the salt flats, but you will always have to do them with guides from the local communities who know the immensity of this site well.

Keep in mind that you will be at a high altitude, so, to avoid altitude sickness, it is advisable to go slowly, drink water in moderation and eat lightly before climbing to the Puna.

 

 How to get from Purmamarca to the Salinas Grandes

The Salinas Grandes are 65 km from Purmamarca. You have to take National Route 52 towards Chile. The road is a mountain road and reaches almost 4200 meters above sea level. There are some viewpoints to stop and enjoy the panoramic view.

Where to sleep in the Quebrada de Humahuaca

The best option for lodging is Purmamarca. Tranquility is a hallmark of the town, while the hotel offer is of great quality.

Tilcara and Humahuaca are two cities with a little more movement than Purmamarca. In Tilcara there are also options for different tastes, while in Humahuaca the hotel offer can be simpler.

If you are looking for much cheaper options, then we recommend that you stay in the small towns: Maimará or Uquía. There is little offer, but all are family businesses that allow you to get closer to the local communities in a different way.

 What to eat in the Argentine northwest

Tasting the local flavors is part of any trip. In the northwest there are dishes that you cannot miss: empanadas, locro, humitas, tamales, llama roast, llama and lamb casseroles, among others.

Tips for traveling through the Quebrada de Humahuaca

One of the characteristics of the Quebrada de Humahuaca is that you will gradually ascend. You have to acclimatize to the altitude, so it is best to move slowly, eat light and drink water in moderation.

You will drive on mountain roads. Always remember to downshift in low gears to avoid straining the brakes and upshift in 2nd or 3rd (and sometimes 1st if necessary).

Is staying at Disney hotels worth it? Pros and cons

When it comes to planning a trip to Disney, you’ll eventually need to choose where to stay. After seeing the park ticket prices, it’s easy to panic and just book the cheapest hotel, apartment, or place you can find—without even checking if the location is good, if there’s transportation, or if you’ll be charged for parking every day, etc. That’s why, my friends, I’m here to tell you why staying at a Disney hotel is totally worth it!

There are so many perks, you won’t believe some of them even exist!

PROS:

EARLY PARK ENTRY

You probably already knew about this one, but wait—there’s so much more. Early Park Entry lets you arrive 30 minutes before the park officially opens and do “Rope Drop,” where you can walk quickly (not run, trust me, they’ll call you out on it 😉 ) to the park’s most popular rides. This way, you avoid the 2-hour lines that form once the non-hotel guests are allowed in.

FREE TRANSPORTATION TO THE PARKS AND DISNEY SPRINGS

Depending on where you’re staying, you can use BUSES, the SKYLINER (gondola), or BOATS to get to all four theme parks, the two water parks, and Disney Springs. A bonus: when you go to Disney Springs, you won’t have to go through the security checks that everyone arriving by car has to endure, which often leads to long, uncomfortable lines. Plus, you won’t have to worry about leaving the parks, walking forever to the parking lot, and trying to find where you parked. The buses are right at the exit, so no extra walking! And after a long day, you don’t have to drive through a city full of highways when you’re already exhausted. TRUST ME, there’s nothing better than being dropped off right at your hotel’s doorstep, without anyone needing to drive after a day of walking 24,000 steps—which is the bare minimum you’ll walk!

FREE PARKING AT HOTELS AND PARKS

If you think this isn’t important, YOU’RE WRONG, my friend—it’s super important! Do you know how much parking at the parks costs? $35 per day. And if you keep adding that up, it’ll take a big chunk out of your budget. If you rented a car, you can park it for free without wasting extra gas or paying for hotel parking, which would be another $35. You’re saving around $70 a day, which you’d definitely have to factor in if you chose to stay elsewhere.

FLEXIBILITY IN PAYMENT METHODS

When you book what’s called a “package,” it means you’re reserving both your tickets and hotel. You can secure this with just $200, locking in your rate before prices go up. You can do this months in advance and pay however you like, with up to 30 days before your trip to finish paying it off. So when it’s time to travel, everything is already paid and ready to go—no need to worry about extra expenses! Plus, when you go through Customs (and we all know how strict they can be), it’s a big advantage to have everything paid for, as they always ask how much money you’re carrying to cover your trip!

RESERVATIONS FOR LIGHTNING LANE, SINGLE RIDER, AND MULTIPASS BEFORE YOUR TRIP

With this new system similar to the old “FastPass,” you can make reservations up to 7 days before your trip if you’re staying at a Disney hotel. Como aplicar al formulario ESTA para ingresar a EEUU – Pasaportes europeos

Si tenés pasaporte europeo y estas viajando a los Estados Unidos debés aplicar al ESTA que es una suerte de VISA online que cuesta a precio de fecha de este post 16/09/2024 USD 21 para poder permanecer hasta 90 días consecutivos dentro de los EEUU por cada ingreso y tiene una vigencia de 2 años o hasta el vencimiento de tu pasaporte si vence en menos de 2 años.

Existen multiples páginas para aplicar al ESTA que no son oficiales y te pueden costar muchísimo más! Para no caer en esta suerte de estafas queremos explicarte todo el proceso para poder aplicar de forma correcta!
Vamos!

1. Ingresar desde el link correcto!

El link correcto del sitio oficial del ESTA es el siguiente: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/?forceNav=true. 

Si pones en google ESTA te van a aparecer varios links pero muchos de ellos son de gestores de ESTA que cobran hasta 100 dólares por pedirte exactamente la misma información que pondrías en el sitio oficial, no tiene sentido!
No es una estafa porque al fin y al cabo te dan la ESTA pero estas pagando muchísimo más sin ninguna razón o beneficio ya que la info que te piden es exactamente la misma.

2. Completar el formulario:

  1. El link del punto 1 te llevará a esta página donde debes clickear en «CREATE NEW APPLICATION»

 

 

2. Luego debemos colocar si es una aplicación Individual o grupal si es para toda la familia, en este ejemplo veremos la aplicación Individual que es muy similar a la grupal.

 

 

3. Colocamos Yes / Si en ambos y clickeamos Next.

 

4. Nos pedirá cargar una foto del pasaporte! Carguenla y el sistema solo les autocompletará varios datos de la siguiente pantalla, los datos que resten los deben completar ustedes! En Este ejemplo hemos colocado que la nacionalidad es Italiana pero que nacimos en Argentina que es mi caso.

 

 

5. Más abajo les pedirá un correo electrónico que deberán completar y verificar. Al clickear siguiente les aparecerá un cartel para confirmar que el mail es correcto y que les enviará un código al mail para validarlo. Al clickear «Send» o «Enviar» les enviará un correo con un código el cual deberán ingresar para verificar el mail y poder continuar.

 

6. Información Personal: En este campo deberemos completar con nuestra info personal, hay preguntas como si tuvimos alguna vez un pasaporte emitido por otro país el cual hay que completar, también info de nuestro domicilio.
También les pedirá Social Media (Redes Sociales), esto es opcional pero si tienen redes limpias que los muestren con una vida establecida en su país, que no tengan tintes políticos comunistas o que no hablen bien de ustedes les super recomiendo que lo coloquen! Esto suma mucho a la hora de evaluar la aceptación! Deben saber que lo que EEUU no quiere es darle la ESTA a una persona que la utilice para ingresar al país y quedarse a vivir allí ilegalmente.

7. Travel Information: A continuación deberán poner el punto de contacto que tendrán en EEUU , si es un familiar viviendo allá o bien si van a un hotel deben colocar la dirección de alguno de los hoteles que ya sepan que van, y que vayan a estar hospedados la mayor parte del tiempo. Les dejo un ejemplo de la pantalla:

 

8. Eligibility Questions: Deberán leer y responder por Yes or No las preguntas, lo ideal es que todo sea NO, si alguna es SI pueden tener problemas para la elegibilidad de la ESTA y pueden llegar a rechazárselas. No necesariamente será así pero bueno ante un SI sepan que harán una revisión más minuciosa sobre su persona para aceptarles o rechazarles la ESTA.

Especial cuidado con la pregunta 9 ! Los Latinos suelen ir mucho a CUBA y es una pregunta que fácilmente muchos deberán contestar que SI. 

. Have you traveled to, or been present in Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen on or after March 1, 2011?

 

 

9. Deberán además aceptar que leyeron y entendieron las preguntas para poder colocar NEXT o continuar. 

 

 

10. Review Application: Significa que deberán revisar si todos los datos expuestos son correctos para confirmar y poder pasar a la parte de pago!

 

11. Si todo está ok, deben colocar en Continuar y pasar a la parte de pago!

 

12. Recuerden que el precio desde hace ya tiempo es de USD 21, esto puede que se modifique en algún momento, pero nunca van a ser USD 80, para que corroboren que estén en la página oficial.
Una vez abonado les enviarán la confirmación en 72 hs. hábiles.

The Best Outlets in Orlando – Disney!

Orlando is not just about theme parks, Mickey Mouse, and roller coasters! This city has established itself as an ideal destination for shopping enthusiasts, offering great prices on clothing, sneakers, technology, and more at outlets, malls, and shopping centers!

In this post, I’ll share everything you need to know to make the most of your trip and optimize your shopping time! I’ve created a ranking based on my experience visiting Orlando every year from 2010 to 2024. The reality is that sometimes you’ll find better promotions at different outlets since it’s not linear and depends on the season, the brands you’re interested in, and many other factors!

Also, keep in mind that there are special discount days, such as February 19 (President’s Day), May 27 (Memorial Day), July 4 (Independence Day), September 2 (Labor Day), and Black Friday or Cyber Monday (usually at the end of November), as well as Christmas, etc. It’s important to pay attention to the calendar and plan your shopping day around these special dates! We once went on July 4 and saw items with 80% and 70% discounts, only to return the next day to find the same items had dropped to a mere 20% off.

Some people say that Premium Outlets are no longer cheap, but keep in mind that they are still cheaper than prices in Argentina. Additionally, if you consider several of the tips I’ll provide, you can find some excellent deals!

 

The 5 Best Outlets in Orlando:

 

1. Orlando Vineland Premium Outlet:

Personally, this is my favorite outlet for several reasons. Although it’s a bit smaller than the Orlando International Premium Outlet, it has the stores I love the most, and I always seem to find better discounts!

At this outlet, you’ll find sports and outdoor brands like NIKE, Adidas, Puma, Asics, Under Armour, The North Face, Columbia, New Balance, Oakley, Hurley, Reebok, and more. For clothing, there are brands like Armani, Boss, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, Carolina Herrera, DKNY, Dolce & Gabbana, Forever 21, Gap, GUCCI, GUESS, Lacoste, Levi’s, Polo Ralph Lauren, PRADA, Tommy Hilfiger, Versace, and many others. For shoes and sneakers, you’ll find Aldo, Crocs, Journeys, Vans, Converse, among others, as well as children’s brands like Carter’s, OshKosh, and Gap Kids, along with hundreds of other brands.

This outlet is part of the Simon chain, which offers significant discounts on various brands. To access these discounts, you need to download the app and register! Here’s the link: Simon Orlando Vineland Premium Outlet

Important Tips:

  1. Most stores offer you the option to sign up for their newsletter, providing discounts of up to an additional 10%. They usually just ask for your email or phone number. What I do is accept it and use different email addresses if I return to the same store to make another purchase.
  2. There are stores like The North Face, Gap, Forever 21, and more that are located in a different area, requiring you to cross a road to get to them! Many people don’t know this and miss out on the fantastic discounts from these big brands.

  3. With each purchase, your receipts include discounts you can use at other brands—definitely check them out! Sometimes, there are very attractive discounts available!

  4. It’s a good idea to go in the morning because at night, when they close, that’s when they put out the deals and organize the clothes for the next day! In the afternoon/evening, it’s the busiest time, and everything is usually in disarray, with the best items already gone!

2. Orlando Outlet Marketplace.

This is definitely the outlet where I’ve consistently found the best discounts! While there are only a few brands, the discounts are unbeatable. Here, you’ll find stores like NIKE, Adidas, Under Armour, Puma, Calvin Klein, Guess, New Balance, Carter’s, and a few others.

It has several advantages: it’s small, there aren’t usually many people, there’s plenty of parking, the stores are quite spacious (except for Nike), it often has the best discounts, and it’s super close to the Orlando International Premium outlets. I recommend starting here and then crossing over to the International to do both in one day.

Tips for Orlando Outlet Marketplace:

  1. Start your shopping day at this outlet and then head to the Orlando International Premium Outlets, which is very close by.
  2. You’ll probably buy a lot and need to leave your bags in the car. While it usually doesn’t happen, a couple of friends had all their bags filled with purchases stolen from their car because they left them in plain sight! So, just like you would in your Latin American country, don’t take chances—make sure to hide your belongings in the trunk before moving your car to the other outlet.

 

3. Orlando International Premium Outlet:

It’s the largest outlet in Orlando, with countless brands, and it often gets crowded due to its popularity! You’ll find the most significant brands here. There’s even a small Disney outlet store where you can find some items—not a lot, but at much better prices compared to the parks.

You’ll come across sports and outdoor brands like NIKE, Adidas, Puma, Asics, Fila, Under Armour, The North Face, Columbia, New Balance, Oakley, Quiksilver, Hurley, Volcom, Reebok, and more. For clothing, you’ll find brands such as H&M, Armani, Boss, Banana Republic, Victoria’s Secret, Calvin Klein, Carolina Herrera, DKNY, Forever 21, Gap, GUESS, Lacoste, Levi’s, Polo Ralph Lauren, Timberland, Tommy Hilfiger, and many others. For shoes and sneakers, there are Aldo, Crocs, Champion, Journeys, Vans, Converse, Skechers, among others, and for kids, you’ll find Carter’s, OshKosh, and Gap Kids, along with hundreds of other brands.

Schedule: 10 AM to 9 PM (Sundays until 7 PM). Hours may vary depending on the season.

Tips for International Premium Outlet:

  1. Just like at the Vineland outlet, download the Simon app to access discounts, check your receipts as they always include additional discounts, and register with your email at the stores to gain access to extra savings.
  2. Try to go early to secure parking and have a more relaxed shopping experience, especially during peak season.
  3. If you know you’re going to go crazy with shopping (like everyone does), bring a wheeled suitcase to make it easier to carry everything; otherwise, it can be impossible to walk around with so many bags! If you need to buy a suitcase, they sell them there, but they’re not usually cheap—except at the Samsonite store. You can find great prices at Ross, Marshall’s, or Walmart and take it with you that day! You’ll remember this tip the day you go and forget to bring a suitcase! hahaha
  4. Keep in mind that you’ll leave this outlet absolutely exhausted, as you’ll be doing a lot of walking, it can get very hot, and you’ll spend a lot of time standing around. Plan to return to your hotel for a bit to drop off your bags and rest before doing anything else.

 

4. The Florida Mall:

It’s considered one of the largest indoor shopping malls in Florida, and it has gained popularity with the recent opening of Primark! There are countless brands, but I think the standout ones are ZARA, H&M, Primark, and Apple. It also features Hollister, Adidas, Dick’s (which is a very large sports store), Macy’s, Forever 21, GAP, JCPenney, Pink, Victoria’s Secret, Sephora, Uniqlo, Vans, among many others.

While it’s not my favorite, it has some major brands that make it a must-visit. Plus, it has a play area for kids that my daughter really enjoyed!

Schedule: 10 AM to 9 PM (Sundays from 11 AM to 7 PM). Hours may vary depending on the season.

5. Ross, Marshalls, Burlington:

You can’t go to Orlando without visiting these stores countless times! There are several, spread across various locations, and they offer the best prices. These stores buy surplus clothing from major brands and resell it at a lower price. They don’t just have clothing; you’ll also find footwear, luggage, home goods, toys, and a variety of other items!

Many people feel overwhelmed upon entering, as there are long racks filled with clothes, and it’s hard to know where to start. But those who look will find treasures! The good thing is that, although it may not seem like it, everything is organized by size and type of clothing. The key is to search thoroughly. You can find beautiful items from big brands at ridiculous prices!

Location: Several! Just search for any of these names on Google, and you’ll find smaller shopping centers with at least two of these brands.

 

Tips for Ross, Marshall y Burlington:

  1. Check, check, and check again! There are many hidden gems among those racks! You just need to take the time to look carefully!
  2. Look for tables with additional discounts and check for special deals!
  3. The lines at the checkout can be long, so plan your timing well. You might encounter very long lines when you go to pay!

Other malls that aren’t outlets but are definitely worth a visit!

 

Disney Springs:

It’s located in Disney and is a charming outdoor shopping center with plenty of restaurants, clothing stores, live shows, the largest Disney store, and much more.

Disney Springs is a must-visit if you’re going to Disney! Personally, I love this place, and it’s essential to go at night because there are always live music shows at various spots, the new drone show, and the atmosphere is always at Disney standards.

You’ll find clothing stores like ZARA, Uniqlo, Under Armour, Ron Jon, Columbia, Sephora, Anthropologie, Lacoste, MAC, Harley Davidson, Volcom, and many more! There are also must-visit stores such as: The LEGO store and World of Disney the largest gift shop in Disney, where you’ll find absolutely everything, from keychains, sweets, plush toys, and clothing to home goods and much more—all Disney-themed!

Restaurants: There are many options, and if you have a Disney dining plan, you can use it here as well! In fact, the food is infinitely better than at the hotels or parks! The last time we went, we had the Quick Service Dining Plan and took advantage of it by dining here every night! My recommendation is the restaurant The Polite Pig! The portions are huge, and it was some of the best food we had! (They accept the Quick Service Dining Plan.) There are many other restaurants, such as Planet Hollywood, Rain Forest Café, T-Rex Café, The Boathouse, D-Lux Burger (also highly recommended for their giant, delicious burgers that accept the Quick Service Dining Plan), Blaze Pizza (also accepts the Quick Service Dining Plan), and many more!

Tips for Disney Springs:

  1. Go at sunset; it’s the best time! You can enjoy the live music shows, the beautiful lights and decorations, and find a good spot to watch the drone show!
  2. If you’re going by car, Uber, or any transportation that isn’t Disney, you’ll go through the same security checks and scanners as in the parks! Try not to bring a backpack or anything that might slow you down during the check! Selfie sticks, magnets, and thermoses are often flagged for a manual inspection!
  3. Parking is free! The Lime Parking Garage is the closest to the clothing stores and World of Disney, but you can also opt for the Orange Garage, which drops you off nearby. I don’t recommend the Grapefruit Garage because it requires more walking!

 

Universal CityWalk Orlando

It is located at the entrance to Universal and Islands of Adventure, and it’s very beautiful!

I also recommend going at sunset and staying for dinner at one of the restaurants, catching a live music show, and exploring the area!

Highly recommended to go to The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast.

I’ll leave you the photo because it’s hard to explain, but it’s a giant chocolate factory in the style of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and you can obviously sit down to eat or have an afternoon snack, buy different chocolates, etc.! The decor is spectacular, and even the waiters and staff are super well-dressed!

You can also find Hard Rock Café, where you can sit down to eat, shop at the store, or catch a live show!

Summary:

In conclusion, Disney has the best outlets, malls, and shopping centers, making it an excellent place to shop. Every time we go, we end up returning with two large suitcases each, plus a carry-on, a backpack, and bags in our hands! It’s unavoidable because you’ll find that buying a t-shirt, a sweater, or even a pair of shoes is cheaper than getting a hamburger!

And from my side, I can tell you that since 2010 until today (2024), I have been going to Disney every year (except for 2020 due to the pandemic), and in the last two years, I’ve gone four times. I can only say that not renting a car is the worst decision you can make! The convenience of renting a car, which is not expensive at all, is undeniable! Yes, I also use Disney transportation, but as I explain in this post, Orlando is more than just theme parks, and taking UBER for shopping is impossible, not to mention that you end up spending more. You will completely regret not having rented a car in advance!

The undisputed answer to this question is: Yes! Let us tell you why.

Unfortunately, the transportation system in Miami is not very good, and you might have to wait up to 2 hours for a bus. And while you could use Uber or Lyft, keep in mind that the distances are long, and you may end up spending more money than renting a car would cost. There are so many, and you won’t want to miss a single one.

Miami is a shopping destination:

We’ll be doing another post on the malls you can’t miss during your stay in Miami, but to name a few: Sawgrass Mills (1 hour from Miami Beach), one of the largest outlets in the United States. Without the convenience of a car, getting there would be difficult. There’s also Aventura Mall, where you’ll find high-end brands like Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, ZARA, and many more. And Dolphin Mall, another huge outlet, where in addition to big-name brands, you’ll find stores like Ross, Burlington, Five Below, and Marshall, among others! All of them are far away, and you won’t want to miss any! I insist: with Uber, you’ll spend much more than the cost of renting a car for a day!

Visit Brickell, Miami Design District, and Wynwood

It will depend a lot on where you’re staying and how far these places are, but for example, many Argentinians tend to book accommodations in Hollywood, Sunny Isles, Hallandale, or North Beach. A round trip with Uber can cost as much as two days of car rental, and there’s no argument about the comfort of having a car to explore these areas.
